Hello again,
As mentioned in the first part, the bad weather at Meiringen the 29th of april we decided to cross the Brünigpass to Alpnach.
While getting down the otherside with burning brakes , we saw a little sunlight. WOOO, the first in 2 days.
By the time we arrived at Alpnach we had even seen some blue dots in the sky . After lunch we moved to the spottershill and five Allys where already waiting for the afternoon flights. Also 2 EC-135s and a Puma were present. As choppers were flying in and out (well not the Puma) this afternoon, we had good fun. Here an impression of the afternoon flights:
1.
2.
3.
4. Backlight.... damn sun
5.
6.
7.You are almost there.
8.Still to come: Sun and WK at Payerne.
Comments are welcome,
Greetz,

Yeah finally there was sun! A great place to visit and take photos, a pitty that the sun turns aside/in front of you during the afternoon. But it sure is a fun base, with a lot of activity. The backdrop just gives an amazing dimension to the pics!

#9 funny to see Allouetes being towed out of the mountain hangar
#10 F18s from Meiringen were making good use of the clear sky above Alpnach
Comments and critics for improvements are more than welcome!!
Actually, how could a photo like #6 been improved, coz its made with backlight conditions and a rather light background... Any suggestions for a well balanced photo without either a white background or black chopper?

I'd rather depict atmosphere and the 'heat of the moment' making a catchy photo than to reflect the real situation and real colours showing a boring photo.

Maarten, I think you did well in the difficult light. Your cropping is a bit tight, the picture frame falls over significant detail sometimes (#4, #7). Good action report.
Numbers 3 and 4 are my favourites here I think, well-balanced 'portraits' of the helos. The scene in #8 is great too. I love those combis, but I think the hangar is bit too strong of a background to make it really work here (not thinking you had an option to change that, though).
What you could try with #6 is improving contrast with a curves tool. Make subtle corrections to the curve, keep it smooth as a whole and see what the effect is. You might just arrive at the conclusion that this scene simply does not have the potential to shoot a top photograph, but it's worth a try.
