Beijing Capital IAP (PEK/ZBAA), 31-03-2009

After 3 weeks incredible China it was time to return back home to Stockholm again. :( Got lots of time left at the amazingly huge, spacious, empty capital airport of Beijing. The airport is just so big that it looks quiet everywhere and it is really clean of course. The airport has 3 parallel runways so it's a hard time spotting here as they are used all at the same time. But when you are at Terminal 3 and at the gates, you are inbetween 2 runways and it is a good place for photos as the windows are as clean as possible. Luckely there were enough air movements, so I took out the camera and catched these ones:

#1 Overview part of Terminal 3

#2 First some pics from outside the terminal at the taxi drop-off spots, a pitty of the backlight

#6 Then through costums and on to the gates, what a nice control tower btw

#16 We had to wait at least half an hour before we could line up for take-off

#17 But for me it was ok

#18 At the same time, at the other two runways...

#19 Finally, the last one... 9 hours left to Stockholm...

I'd rather depict atmosphere and the 'heat of the moment' making a catchy photo than to reflect the real situation and real colours showing a boring photo.
