What are the chances some will appear at Shannon? I presume most South American participants will route through Africa for stopovers/refueling?

Dirk,
South American's usually route via Las Palmas .
So for Shannon, i guess maybe a Canadian or US aircraft, but i guess they are rather boring for you.

Misschien ook nog even langs de haven van scheveningen ?

De veiligheidsmaatregelen rond de conferentie zullen aanzienlijk zijn. Het Bronovo-ziekenhuis en het Rode Kruisziekenhuis in Den Haag zullen ter beschikking staan in geval van eventuele calamtiteiten. Om de veiligheid van de 75 ministers van Buitenlandse Zaken te garanderen wordt het luchtruim boven Den Haag beveiligd en zal het Norfolkterrein in Scheveningen dienst doen als uitvalsbasis voor beveiligingshelikopters. Het is de grootste VN-conferentie sinds de Tweede Wereldoorlog in Den Haag.

Het Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken heeft de landen en organisaties bekend gemaakt welke een uitnodiging hebben gekregen voor de conferentie van 31 maart.

Japan Self Defense Force (JSDAF) B747-400's komen NIET, althans, de Japanners komen wel, maar ze vliegen op LGW (London Gatwick).

Die zekerheid heb je dan in ieder geval

Luchtmacht heli's vliegen vrijwel nooit voor beveiliging in Nederland. Hoogstens staan ze standby met een team van de Bijzondere Bijstands Eenheid.

Does anyone know if all delegations will land at Schiphol and Rotterdam, or is Lelystad also a possibility for the smaller aircraft?

I would assume they keep the number of airports used to a minimum to save on security costs and to keep the security setup as simple as possible as the more airports involved, the more security needs to be put in place.
As the meeting is in the Hague, most obvious options would be EHRD and/or EHAM, don't think/know Lelijkstad has ever been in the picture for this

According to the mayor of the Hague the delegations will make use of EHAM and EHRD.

Ik weet niet zeker waarom, maar met 2 spelfouten in zo'n kort stukje Nederlands, wordt het er niet beter op... Met betrekking tot de zekerheid van de komst van menig land, zullen we dit pas hebben op het moment dat hun toestel het asfalt van de baan zal raken. We zien het wel!
