Air Mshl Katre formed a team consisting of AVM Wollen, Gp Capt Ramu and Wg Cdr Madhav Rao to carry out the evaluation. The team flew down to Krasnodar and Gp Capt Ramu flew two sorties in a Mig-25 U two seat trainer version. He thus became the first IAF plot to fly this legendary aircraft. "

I am working hard on the book.
The publishers are talking about the financial-crisis always....
But I think, if a customer have money for one mil-av-book only, he will leave the F-14 -15 -16 etc...books on the shelfs of the bookstores, and will buy the book which is stuffed with old "red-star phots"......
Currently the planned publishing-date is October.

Few photos from Open-Days in the Sovietunion in the late 70s.
(sorry, the quality.....)
One of the few occasions, when the photographing was not prohibited - usually, the Russians displayed a few planes only.
It is a surprise for me - why we can not see same pics in the reports from the intell. observation groups from the 70s.

Did you seen ever photos of intercepted Soviet AF or NVA-LSK fighters - MiGs, Sukhois - over the North-Sea or Baltic ?
Must to have a lot of such photos at the pilots of the USAFE, Luftwaffe, Danish & Dutch airforces....
Or pics took from ships there ?

Why they did not publish photos of intercepted fighters ?
Usually Tu-16, Tu-95, Myasischev only....
