ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Volkel 18-02. Teaching my son the important lessons in life

Post by Frank »

As a father, you have to teach your kids the important things in life right ? Eating with knife and fork, be polite, Spreek met twee woorden en zeg u u u u u.. and those sort of things. Today it was time for another important education. Aircraft Photography. So I took my son Kasper, 8 yeard old to Volkel airbase. Took some pictures myself too. BTW Was good to meet you today Roel.

Kasper used a small pocket size camera, and filmed the landing F-16's. Soon on youtube :-) But I like this one, showing there is some creativity already in his veins:

Nice day out, sunshine, F-16's, laughing together. The simple things can make you happy ! :-)

You are a good father!

But.... shouldn't you take someone with you who actually knows something about photography
you wouldn't want your son to end up like you. Sure... F-16's is easy. How are you going to teach him about helicopters...
Before you know it he makes 'Frank Noort platen'.

Of course I am just kidding (as you would know Frank, but maybe the rest of the readers don't).
It is an important moment in a young boys life. Sort of a rite of passage to manhood..

Keep up the good work!
Met vriendelijke groet / Sincerely,

Very good mate, and nice pics, your son will be very thankfull for that!!

I never had a father into aviation but i had something better: an over enthusiastic God father working for a brewery and promoting 23 devils of KB in his spare time

Has been dragging my arse to a lot of airshows (still does). Had a little black camera that you had to turn a wheel after every photo, you remember the type.....Worked wonders with that thing!

Regards,
Dirk
