Sorry, I happen to like the athmosphere in the above shot.. Just as I like it in the one below from the analogue days. Maybe I'm not self-critical enough. Any comments welcome (Oh, and I know this one is not sharp, but for me, in this case it adds to the effect).

Re: Your 'Arty-Farty' pics
Not sure if you consider this arty-farty..
Re: Your 'Arty-Farty' pics
Almost all shots posted till now are what I meant with Arty-Farty. It doesn't have to be a super abstract shot, as long as it's different from the standard angles we always see. For me serials have a lower priority than composition and that's exactly what this topic is meant for. Nice shots from angles we don't often see and also shots that are abstract. The Tornado thrust reverser from Bianca, an almost famous shot on the board, is a perfect example of die-hard Arty-Farty, really abstract. The PdF helmet shot from Crizz is a great example of creativity and good composition. And composition and angle wise, need I say more than NustyR? Keep it going like now guys, really makes me happy I started this topic! It's almost a Scramble hall of fame!

Re: Your 'Arty-Farty' pics
Maybe it's wise to explain where the "Arty Farty" title came from.....
Just about a week ago our overseas contributor Machlooper (Pat) sent in a full report about low flying in Wales, called Machloop (LFA7,Wales) 26-29 Jan 2009. He referred to one of his shots as Arty Farty, which triggered many Ohhhs and Ahhhhs.
To me and several others, this shot set the "Arty-Farty-Standard". Until now several people here have come very close, matched or even surpassed this absolute top shot. Hopefully other contributors in this topic will now try to do the same......impress people !
