SNMCMG1 is one of NATO's permanent Maritime forces and consist of ships of the member states. SNMCMG1 is the so called "minesweeper" squad.
The ETA will be 08:00Z (09:00 local), according to the site of the Port of Amsterdam.

Hi All,

I just got a message back from one of the former Thetis crew members see text below!
No Lynx :-( :x

I'm no longer on the Thetis, but i still got a pretty good graps on what she is up to. She currently serves as the flag ship of the NATO Mine Counter Meassure Group SNMCMG1 ( a list of vessels in the group is available on http://www.manw.nato.int/page_snmcmg1_history.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) and it was estimated that a helicopter would provide little or no operational advantage and thus she won't be carrying one. Chances are though that there will be an open ship day, but from a helicopter interrest this won't be of much worth, as the hangar has been covered in clothing and is permanently used for staff purposes - alas nothing of the equipment used for the helicopter is visible either.

IJhaven means the carrier will dock next to the cruise terminal behind Central station. You can take I believe tram 25 to get there or walk 10-15 minutes towards the cruise terminal.

The last time it visited Amsterdam there was nothing to see on deck and not open for public either. But of course it"s always nice to see a ship like the Illustrious in Amsterdam! :)
