A couple more.
Crossing the runway at 1000 ft.
5 minutes before the lights went out for the last time.

Re: EHSB the remainders
Thanks Martijn as usuall very nice. You can see clearly see the silouette of former taxitracks in the centre which marks the end of the runway before it was lengthened in the sixties due to the arrival of the F-100's for the 32 FIS.

Some reminders from behind "The Hill"
Old aircraft dispersal at the Far East, once occupied by Hunters Kaasjagers and Super Sabres.
Taxitrack road crossing to the Far East at the Van Weerden Poelmanwe.
Taxitrack at the Far East, with on the left and right side the aircraft dispersal with room for two fighters.
Original build by the Germans in 40/45

Martijn

Re: EHSB the remainders
Hunter,
The Far East is not in use annymore. It is nowdays in use by the BBE for drive exercises (arresting people out of cars etc).
And on two dispersals the spottershill was build, and that was in the end of the 80`s. So I think it the last aircraft departed the Far East some 30 years ago.
Later on I will post some pictures from the German period.
Groet,
Martijn
