A contract of 4 ATR-72 in the Maritime Patrol version has been signed by the Italian Government and Finmeccanica.
The airplanes deliveries will start in 2012 and they will be operated by a mixed Air Force/Navy crew.

It is not clear... but looking at the age of the Atlantic, it could be!
