OMG... I totally forgot about thisStefan wrote:Sorry... ran into this pic again (credits to Heron for taking it) and had to show it.
Volkel 1984, an angry farmer trying to persuade spotters to move by spraying manure:

(living in the past every now and then )
Just checked an yes... I still have the negative. The picture was taken on 25 april 1984.
Earlier that day some spotters had a serious talk with the police on that same bit of land...
I got a picture of that too. I'll try and scan that soon...

Re: FUN: This is how we work......
Was certain I had some somewhere, but this turned out to be more then expected
Who is photographing who?
S5 or F5 ?
Waiting for the Il-76 to return (see also http://www.franknoort.nl/istres/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
During one of the GRAS base visits
Iwan trying to hide behind a little girl
Even those need to be checked for a c/n;
Not sure whether this was allowed (well, actually I am....);
Dimitri in one of his characteristic poses;
No comment.....
Even wings have c/n plates!!
Even editors of a famous aviation magazine (not Scramble!) go to the ground every now and then;
Oops... forgot my stepladder... ah found a replacement!
For some people it is actually working when others can play
Bl**dy... this was hot (and forgot the suntan... )
Before you can take decent pictures, you have to remove the signs....
Waiting.... and waiting....

Taken at Florennes (TLP1 January 2004). Sadly a day with no flying activities, because a lot of snow.
Two other spotters start a 'snowball fight' against us...

Arjo

A few scans from by dusted boxes:
Setting the alarm clock at Le Bourget (night curfew ends at 07.00) a few years ago
"Paalzitten" for hours at the soccer field at Orly (south)
Trying to stay low profile at Fujaira in 2006

My b..ls are still aching, or is it itching, from a day of 'paalzitten' after 28 years now. Bloody amazing how fast time goes by. What's next, Azraq? Thanks Jaap.
