Oman Military question
I shot this picture of an Oman military transport aircraft.
Does anyone know any details of this plane? cn/fn - type etc.?
This one also landed at Muscat... not at all a sharp pic, but interesting a/c

Re: Oman Military question
Your first picture is an English Air Force Nimrod, according the tailcode '35' the serial should be XV235 and the second one is a civil Canadian Ce208, C-GSGU.
More info about the Nimrod can be found here:

Re: Oman Military question
Thank you so much for your info... the Nimrod is a really nice addition to my lists!
Do you maybe know what kind of route the C-GSGU is flying, because I saw it in another log in Phuket jan02, if i'm not mistaken...

Re: Oman Military question
It's a Shorts SC7-3M Skyvan (Seavan?) from the Oman Airforce. S/n is very difficult to read on the pic.

Re: Oman Military question
If I read the Arabic letters on you picture well it is translated in our script:
916, and this serial is also assigned to a Short Seavan.
kind regards Maarten

Te white Skyvans are actually called Seavans, and the green ones are the regular Skyvans. They have converted three Skyvans into Seavans, including 910 and 916. Here is a better shot of Seavan 916 that I took in June 2004 at Muscat-Seeb. I have also added a shot of Oman's regular Skyvans.
Cheers,
Iwan
PS: Sorry for the very poor slide scans (scanned before any good Photoshop knowledge)
