Dino, I'm still amazed by the quality level you achieve with your scans. Which Canoscan model and workflow do you use?
Here's some of my results with a Plustek slidescanner, can't even get close to most of the pictures I've seen here.
Seymour-Johnson AFB 1999:
Los Alamitos AAF 1999:
RAF Fairford 1998
Zeltweg 2000

Hi patrick,
I use a CanoScan 8800F ( just a flatbed with slide option for only €150,-)
and scan my slide's at 4800 DPI ( not even the highest resolution ).
Then i do some unsharp, brightnes, color and noise reduction / adjustments (i dont use any adjustment with the included software).
And thats about it

In my humble experiance it helps to focus the slidescanner now and then as due several reasons such as temperature rise by the lamp the focus may change over time.
Next: I experienced that the entire workflow is best done in a separate program (Photoshop in my case) as all kind of automated processing does not give the best results.
Dino´s pictures are extremely crisp, your´s are not bad at all. You may want to experiment with shadows highlight to lighten up the dark parts.
I´m looking forward to more pictures. Ill try to upload some myself.
