Brand new from the Fokker factory on Schiphol-East, one of the first RNLAF F-104Gs, D-8093, is going to land on the "Kaagbaan", flown by a Fokker testpilot. June or July 1963.

Some very nice old dutch fighters in this topic, way before my time.

Allow me to make a bridge with my mostly civil topic on Miami, both pictures from 1989.

Bitburg, Germany, August 1964. One of the F-105 Thunderchiefs is about to land, while the others provide aircover. The jetblast blew away the sheafs of corn.

Image
Geilenkirchen, Germany, August 1964. This photo is taken from the inside of our shelter. We were just preparing supper, so it took some time to find the camera. The Meteor already passed us.

Thx Dino,

Seen from the other side, the Thuds didn’t look quite as interesting ... :)

Not as beautiful as the first picture of the Thuds, but still impressive.

Luftwaffe Thunderflash EA-311 at Welschap (EHEH), August 1964. This one (which is also the former Belgian FR-31) is nowadays standing near the Oranjekazerne in Schaarsbergen as "Dutch" Thunderflash P-7!

KC-135 Geilenkirchen, Germany, August 1964. Some jets have hardly changed in more than 40 years. 8)

Well, that's all folks. I only have a very small collection, you see ...

Holy ==censored==! Live the Thud pics from Bitburg. I haven't seen too many pics from this very active base from this perspective. There must have been tons of pictures being made here.

This is a beauty too! All these splendid pics of the F-111 in this forum-thread make me realize I stopped spotting too early.

1968 it was. I fell in love. And it was a serious affair (I am still married to the lady in question). :)
