How about this for a airshow?

Post by Flyboy »

I missed the topic "requests for KLu 2009", but how about this idea.

I can imagen 4 F-16's with red-white-bleu-orange smokewinders in formation with something big (mil or civil, I don't mind)

A video of this (and another pass) can be found in the "Praathuys"-section, or here

we have had a KLM 747-400 (and maybe others) on a Dutch airshow once performing flybys. I do not recall the year as I was pretty young.

As I recall it, the KLM 747 made a flyby during the "Opendagen Luchtmacht" at Airbase Deelen in 1988, but I can be wrong

The Dutch Airforce celebrated 75 years and the event was live on tv.

And yes, at that time I was also very young :D

No John you're right  The Jumbo made a flyby shortly after the TR-1.

I believe the Concorde made a flypass during the lelystad airshow in 1987.

That is in the Praethuys section, allthough fallen away to page 2 already.

The KLM 747 at Deelen in '88 was not a 400 series, as these hadn't arrived by then.

Coloured smokewinders were tested last winter, but that was not considered a succes by the RNLAF F-16 solo display team. (See news section in http://www.f16demoteam.nl" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, then go back to the period between this year's displays and last year's)
