Hi all,
thanks to Gilze-Rijen Aviation Society (GRAS) I was welcome at Colmar airbase in the afternoon of the 25th of August. The morning was spent to take some landing shots. Unfortunately only three aircraft flew that morning. Weather was great with a lot of sunshine. According to one of the public affairs officers now-a-days only 18 single seaters and 7 two-seaters Mirage F1 are stationed at Colmar.
Here some results of a this visit at BA132 Colmar-Meyenheim. Hope you like them?
Grtz Edward.

Hi,
thanks all for the nice comments .
All pictures were taken in the shelter area which resulted in the nice green backgrounds. We (a group of about 24 people in total) were also offered to take place on the south side along the runway. We convinced our guides that this was not the best place to be at that moment due to the position of the sun. The runway at Colmar-Meyenheim is 01/19 (almost north-south).
Two more Mirage F1.
Grtz,
Edward.

Nice pictures!
I learned that 30-QU, the one with the huge belly tank, did not fly that morning, but is there anyone else who can enrich this topic with a Mirage, taking off, flying or landing with a monstruous tank like this one? Just curious what it looks like
Mazzels,
Rob
