Ease up Thermal....Wolf32 didn't comment, he asked a question. I agree though, these are among the most spectacular pictures ever seen on this board and yet I wondered too why the numbers were removed. Especially as in older posts of Cornfielddjango, serials were visible.

Bas

Hello,

I think, because the pilots are flying very low and spectaculair, to avoid some problems with the staff (and waddenvereniging and other "azijnzeikers") that they removed the serials.

I think also that some F-16's fly lower thanm is aloud here, that's why the serials are removed to protect the pilots in this one

Good question. My first reaction, within a second after seeing the first picture, was there is something missing here. Did the Koninklijke Luchtmacht remove the registrations from their F-16's recently? Did the photographer do some editing? Why would he have done that? Pictures like this, although very nice, provoke questions. I think the photographer should have explained that his photos were altered.

J-066 was not removed because there are many things that are "unique" about the J-066:
- extended orange white pitot tube
- orange dots on the back of the plane
- orange tips of the sidewinder rails
- name of the crew on the canopy

 way 2 go Django ... You never stop to amaze us.

Noticed some large figures on the back of the F16, behind cockpit.
Do all MLU's have that nowadays?

(keep up the good work and respect pics as they are posted)

Hi Django,

Amazing shots ! You are in a fortunate position, and you make good use of it. Well done.

Don't worry about the comments regarding the serial numbers. Does it matter which number they painted on the aircraft ? Not at all ! This is a photo forum, and not a serial forum.

Everyone could easily think of the reason why you removed the serials. But....... (right now I'm not I a position to check your photos (I'm at work), so I can't tell)........ did you remove the image data from the photos ? If not, it's extremely simple to find out which aircraft were involved. Your camera will reveal the exact date and time, and we all know where these images were taken. So 1+1=2 for those who are serious about finding out.

Just a question to those who are after the numbers: Why do you want to know ??? In my opinion these are "just Dutch F-16's", and they are no longer "there", so you can't go out and get them anymore. Please explain !

Best regards,
Iwan Bögels
