Something else, if it's the wrong topic then please move it in that case.
Did id ever occured that a RNLAF F-16 or German Tornado's/F-4F's did a touch and go at De Kooy? Personally I think it's a bunch of lariekoek but somebody thinks he saw that, and I actually just want to know if he's right or not.

I've seen a picture about a belgian F-16 doing a touch-and-go at De Kooy, will try to find out when it happened.Raptor16 wrote:Something else, if it's the wrong topic then please move it in that case.

I don't know wether it actually "touched-and-went", but during a base visit on November 12th, 2002 we had J-885 of 323 Sqn doing at least a low approach on runway 22 at 1525lt. I don't have photoproof; we were waiting for our tourguide in the messhall at the time and watched the whole thing through the window. I never realised that this is not a common sight at De Kooij...Raptor16 wrote:Something else, if it's the wrong topic then please move it in that case.

Low approaches are not that uncommon, that happens more often then a tg. Oscar posts that ones more often (most of the friendly lady posts are about these things, I guess). But the belgian I was talking about was touching, the picture I remember, (but couldn't find back, up till now) showed the smoke coming off the tyres. If Oscar found a dutch back in '92, then I think it has happened more than once.Stephan Lodewijks wrote:I never realised that this is not a common sight at De Kooij...
