Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Nice pictures, but too bad for the big name in the midlle of every single pic.
Really ruins it.

No, they were sold to the German Navy.

If you answer a question be sure your answer is correct. Some of the MLD orions were sold to Portugal and the some to Germany

To be more precise:

Eight went to Germany, all CUP (if I'm correct).

Five went to Portugal, some with CUP and some with at least provisions for implementing CUP later on (if I remember correctly).

And CUP being Capability Upkeep Program, from the outside best recognisable by the ESM dome underneath the belly just behind the main landing gear (like the US Navy P-3's wich went through the AIP program).

Hi Juvat,

Thanks for sharing your images. It still hurts to see "our" beautiful Orions in service in another contry, but I'm sure you are happy with them.

Regarding the "Tigerbythetail" titles in the images: I understand that you don't want to have your photos used without your permission. Neither do I ! Fortunately it's relatively rare that people mis-use photos from Scramble, so maybe it's a better idea to use a toned-down version, somewhere on the bottom of the shot instead of right over the aircraft. If you use photoshop, you can even make it semi-transparent by setting the opacity of the text layer to about 20%.

Keep up the good work, and keep posting please !!

Cheers,
Iwan
