Greetings,
Stefan
If you go next week to Wittmund, the following I have taken from flugzeugforum 26/6:
Naja, mal schauen, was die Zukunft bringt.
They are builing a new fence on the soutside of the base. The west side the new fence is already there (d.d July 2)...
Regards
Ronald

That's right. I was there too yesterday (for the first time) and was a little disappointed.
There still was no new fence on the east end, but we were sent away by the military police after half an hour. No discussion: we were not allowed to come close to the base. We left and went to the west side.
On the west end you can only take pictures along the overrun area of the runway, so well before touchdown point. The area along the runway is fenced-off. After a few hours a guard told us to stop taking pictures and said he would call the Polizei. Luckily we were not bothered again, at least not until 14.15 hrs when we left ('de buit was binnen').
We had a great day with 14 F-4s flying and 33 degrees C.

HAF F-4E?
Don't know if this is the right place on the forum to ask this question, but anyhow:
in the SIS updates section, it is mentioned that a HAF F-4E is making a tankstop on Friday 4 and Monday 7 July. What I would like to know: What is it's destination? Florennes Air Show?? (I thought Corsairs were confirmed for Florennes, not a Phantom.... ) .
Thanks,
Lifeliner
