Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Danish Air Force Airshow 2008
On the 7th and 8th of June the RDAF hosted it's annual airshow.
This year it was hosted by Helicopter Wing Karup at Karup AB.
It was a nice airshow with great weather and a nice diversity of old and new and slow and fast aircraft. Also I can't remenber the last time every aircraft in the Danish inventory gave a flying display.
Here is an impression of the weekend.
During the spotters day, we were shown some of the W&R on the base
The good old S-61 Sea King
Eastern European hardware
RAF Puma
The Chip-Chaps, a small Danish aerobatic team which uses 4 old Chipmunks
The Danish C130J-30 used flares in his display
A retired F-16 used by the Danish Defence Force Recruitment Office
Acromach
Karup AB is also used as a civilian airport
The Swedish JAS-39 Gripen. One of only a few displays by the Gripen this year.
The Danish F-16 solo display also used flares this year
A Swedish Vampire
The Belgian F-16 solo display
A Danish Merlin. One of 7 who gave a flying display.
Some one parked illegally and the car was dropped from a Merlin
The Danish DC-3
The Dutch F-16 solo display
Patrulla Aguila
The RDAF usually does some formation flying with the F-16's at the RDAF airshows
One of my highlights. A Dutch KDC-10 and a Danish F-16
Swedish Hunter
Danish Piper Cub
Danish Airline Cimber Air gave a flying display with an ATR-72
The RDAF display team, Baby Blue
The Danish Armed Forces did an airpower demo with 9 F-16's, 1 Merlin, 4 Fennec's and some Army units.
A Swedish Spitfire
A Danish Challenger
A Danish Navy Lynx
A nice visitor from Sweden
A Danish L-29
I hope you like them and, as always, comments are very welcome.
