Just like when driving a car and use a map, aircraft also use 'maps'.rené wrote:does anyone know if this aircraft is leased with complete American crew? if so, how did the cockpit crew "learn" their way around Europe?
(And most have computers to program the route you fly....)

It might get stickers at AMS.United wrote:I would have expected this one to show up in HV colours.RCV wrote:New KL B737-800 PH - BGB seen at Boeing Field.
Also:
The slotcoordination website shows two positioning flights with B739 equipment to AMS:
May 15th as FUA091 ex PMI 14:30 UTC
Jun 25th as FUA091 ex PMI 14:30 UTC
It also shows the departure of a B739 to LGW on May 24th as FUA 492.
This might give us a clue when to expect the Futura 737-900's at Schiphol.
Bye, Chris.

(Futura should be back in summer 2008 with two aircraft:)
EC-KQQ (32559/2559) leased summer 2008 (Apr - Sep), regi/msn assumed.
EC-... (?????) leased summer 2008 (Jun - Dec)
EC-KQR is msn 32559/2590
Both aircraft delivered last week to Futura / PMI.
I guess these 2 will go into service with ArkeFly.

As far as I can see the PH-KVC is still flying, at least flights planned tomorrow. I think PH-KVD made it's last flight on the 6th of May as KL1753/1754 to/from BRE. No flights after this date.cHabu wrote:Anyone for 'KVC's last KLM flight details ? (same request for KVD in time...) Thanks for the info !Hurricane wrote:KVC is now in her Phase-out program @ AMS. Class E. On airplanes used for the carriage of cargo only, the cabin area may be classified as a Class ``E'' compartment. Each Class E compartment must comply with the following:
(1) It must be completely lined with fire-resistant material.
(2) It must have a separate system of an approved type smoke or fire
detector to give warning at the pilot or flight engineer station.
(3) It must have a means to shut off the ventilating air flow to or
within the compartment and the controls for that means must be
accessible to the flight crew in the crew compartment.
(4) It must have a means to exclude hazardous quantities of smoke,
flames, or noxious gases from entering the flight crew compartment.
(5) Required crew emergency exits must be accessible under all cargo
loading conditions.
