I see from the latest edition of Scramble that the date has been fixed for the Italian Air Force show at Pratica di Mare. It is the final weekend of May and I am hoping to go. I see that those who attended last year and reported for Scramble appear to have gained access to areas not open to the general public and obtained serials of aircraft in closed hangars. How was this arranged? Are there any other hints and tips those who have attended could share?

Will the airfield be open to the general public on sunday only? Or is there a way to get in on saturday as well (without having to join an airforce as Hans suggested...)

Usually only on sunday for the general public.
Saturday is a day for the invited people (and I tought press aswell) only.

saturday is normally only for press and families of airforce personal.the flying display at saturday is the same as on sunday.you could try your luck from outside.see also the airfield guide.

where did you get that info from? The list (see link mentioned on page one of this subject) doesn't have it yet, in fact it hasn't been updated for quite a while. Do you have another webpage to keep an eye on?

The B-1B comes right out of a document from the USAF, B-1B is also expected at other European shows during the season:
