Quote: "...that these aircraft are planned to be sourced from Air France"

That in mind KLM is Air France, rumours are saying that KLM is not to happy with the A330-200. So when Martinair is taken over they could get the A330's from KLM.

Is there anybody who has been hearing this side of the story?

You can scrap the L-1011 off the list. Interstate has abandoned the idea of operating one since fuel is getting more expensive and the a/c involved is getting a bit old...

Article: Interstate Airlines ziet af van Lockheed TriStar.

It seems PH-BXY hasn't entered service yet - anyone know when this will happen?

And that is probably why they recently ordered an extra 2 of them?
Please, these kind of rumours go around quite often, about any type with any airline. Usually they are b*llocks, so please don´t quote them unless you have some serious sources to back up the story.

KLM delivery topic

Post by frank kramer »

Couldn't find a KLM delivery topic on AMS; if it DOES exist already, my apologies and feel free to move the post!

According to http://blog.seattle-deliveries.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , KLM B737 PH-BXZ was flying in full c/s yesterday (Monday, Feb 25, 2008). They also have a picture.

Which KLM 737 classics have been retired this year? How many are still in service?

So far only PH-BDG has been retired. It is in Hg10 at the moment where it gets a c-check and the phase-out program.

Coming monday (03march) the next one will be retired, the PH-BDK.

In total 8 a/c to be retired this year

Just curious. Are that 8 737's or are there also F100's retired?

Just noted in the JP Airline-Fleets book that these are all leased ones.
Any idea what will happen with them...for example:
Maintenance check, painted all white and back to the leasing company or is it something else...like the aircraft will get it's new livery at Schiphol...??
