Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Hi all
That Pan Am 707 looks like Schiphol to me so thanks for adding.
While looking through my collection for IL76's I also found a new bunch of 707's to add here.
This Saudi Prince was rumored to have a connection with Fokker. This 707 was parked in front of the factory (when it was still open) for several days.

The EHAM/AMS 707 topic to the second page...!? impossible!!!
So finally a 2nd contribution from me to this wicked topic to get it back to the first page where it belongs :
I will call my contribution - Part I of The "Plantenbak" Files
Talking about 707 airframe "19843"
Most of us remember this one as Zarkani's SU-DAC, wfu EHAM 31-07-'93 and dep almost 3 years later (04-03-1996) to EBOS as SU-PBA, flightnr. MPS999 (Air Memphis, now MHS).
That monday "she" t/o from good old RWY 01L..., and I took a day of from work and was there to watch it!
- No pics - weather too bad, I'm afraid - I've got 1 shot taken at ER0 (East) that day - I will scan it later this week and show it to all ya classic lovers...so stay tuned for that!
Today, exactly 10 years ago, so the 10th of March 1998...
this 707 crashed in t/o from Mombasa-Moi International Airport, Kenya
as Air Memphis SU-PBA
For the whole story, check tis link:
http://aviation-safety.net/database/rec ... 19980310-0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
So on this special day I show you some pics taken on Monday the 18th of July 1994 when "she" turned into a so called "plantenbak" after almost one year of storage in front of Hangar 11... (thanx to Curtiss too )
Enjoy: (and remember these pics are scans from ordinairy 10x15 photo's
and slides)
More of "her" in Part II of The "Plantenbak" Files
