I sent an email to remove my photos (only a few photos due to the 'strange approval methods', to say it "politically correct"; refer to other topics about A.Net screening politics...).
But no response has been received yet, what is the usual response time for their support dept??
If they use these 'new TOU' on other sites, rush them to A.net, then suddenly change it again, they make a very, very bad impression.
Totally out of control, perhaps too much focused on making money with photos from other people????
They may not host my photos anymore. http://www.airfighters.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is the place to be for me.

Well no offense for anybody on Airfighters.com.Joris van Boven wrote: They may not host my photos anymore. http://www.airfighters.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is the place to be for me.
Maybe im not making friends whit this but a worst viewed picture at A.net is still more viewed than an average pic on Airfighters.
A.net is the standard an i hope it stay,s like that.
WARNING WARNING
dat is ook mijn conclusie. >>ZIE HET ALS EEN WAARSCHUWING<<Stefan wrote:Ha,
Ben geen fotograaf maar vind dit proces wel interessant.
Het is een beproefde methode om met een 'proefballon' een wijziging aan te kondigen. Even proeven hoe ver de loyaliteit gaat.
bye! next!

Those are obviously two different things. That site being mil only means it limits its own abilities. For instance, Airfighters will likely not get me to put my photos there, because I don't limit myself to just mil.Redskin301 wrote:But the advantage of airfighters is;

Yes, it will. But given the fact that even JetPhotos still has just a fraction of the traffic A.net has, after all these years, I wouldn't get my hopes too high. And airfighters is much younger than ailiners, sow this site will also grow in the next years
Like Ruud, Johan and many others, I think that A.net - with all its peculiar ways - has set a standard that no other site can touch. That doesn't mean I can put all that I'd like to show on A.net. But I can put a broad selection of my photos there, and it's a good benchmark for technical quality to have them accepted.

Some changes already (new text about the TOU):
WE HAVE RECEIVED A LOT OF FEEDBACK AND HAVE DECIDED TO INDEFINITELY POSTPONE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEW POLICIES FOR PRE-EXISTING AND NEW USERS. WE WILL REVISE THE POLICIES TO ADDRESS ALL OF THE CONCERNS WE HAVE RECEIVED. THIS IS A PROCESS OF COLLABORATIVE RULE-SETTING. WE LISTEN TO OUR MEMBERS AND WILL ADDRESS THEIR CONCERNS.
The headscreener also mentioned that they (i.e. the screeners) would get consulted before a new TOU is released.
It was clear that DM was shooting themselves in the foot if nothing would change...
So, for the moment I keep my photos on the site (after all, it has cost me some time to get them uploaded and accepted ).
PS: I have photos on the other sites as well, (because one never knows what the future will bring...), it is like making back-ups of photo-files on CD-ROM, DVD, external hard-disks... it is all about redundancy
Best regards,
Walter

call me sceptic, but read carefully,
"Indefinitely postpone".
translate to dutch.... Postpone = onbepaalde tijd uitstellen.
why not "definitely abandon the wrong road"?!
hmm, maybe...
Because it is likely to surface somewhere sometime in the future after the waves have gone calm again.
