EBBR 12-01-2008 * Update 3 with photos *

Post by nustyR »

Today I made my first visit at Zaventem, thanks to the Scramble airport guide I found some great places to spot.

1 Unfortunately the day started with rain and and all kinds of grey clouds.

Image

2 But when the sun arrived I saw Zaventem at her best.

Image

3

Image

4 Main reason for this visit.

6

Image

7 Not the best in quality, the plane was miles away. But I love these kind of action-shots.

More photos will follow soon.

edit; update and typo

Nice shots you made Nusty.
By the way, how many mm you use for the Jet Airways 773 while he was banking to the left??........

Same question for the take-off photo's??.....

Nice work.

400mm , but that wasn't enough for the bankingshot :( ( I'm saving for the 600mm at this moment )
The take-off photos are also made with the 100-400, later on I used the 1.4x converter as well.

8 This photo got it all;
-vortex from the wing-let
-condensation clouds on top of the wings
-crossing traffic
-anti-collision-light
-blue sky as background
-nice livery ( first time for me )
-MD-ELEVEN ( my big favorite while taking photos )

Image

9 Creating some additional clouds

Image

10 400mm is still not enough.

Image

11

Image

12

Image

13 And the next beauty was allowed to depart.

Image

14

Image

15

Image

16 Never saw so many 4-engine-planes at one day.

Image

17 The sky above Brussels seems much clearer than above Capelle aan den IJssel ( near Rotterdam ) where I live.

Image

18 Kalitta 747 performing a trick with the clouds.

Image

19 Southern Air also performs a ( better ) trick with the clouds.

Image

20 First she penetrated the cloud above ( photo 19 ), after that she started with the cloud at the bottom of the photo ( also phto 21 ).

Image

21

Image

22 Well , all the traffic departed from 25R. Except for one AA-767, with the sun in her back the photos are imo great.

Image

23

Image

24 Creating vortexes and some shadows of the tail and left engine.

Image

25 Sunlight in the condensation clouds ! :D :D

Image

26 On the left the same cloud as in photo 25, on the right a shadow in front of the airplane. In the middle condensation clouds and vortexes.

Image

27 Same shot as photo 3, it belongs in this series.

Image

28 Same story as in photo 26.

Image

29 Even the engine got a shadow

Image

30 Leaving the last cloud.

Image

31 Five photos further, the aircraft changed her heading and now the clouds are reflecting in the belly.

Image

32 Taken nearby the GA and DHL ramp. I just got out of the car, usually you miss the bird, not on this day !!!! :D :D

Image

33

Image

34

Image

35 Isn't the new c/s just lovely ?

Image

36 I saw a lot of DHL.

Image

37 Landing on 25L

More photos will follow soon.

I also like the context by the photos.
It looks you've had a nice day over there. :P
