NO photoday @ Wittmund

Post by Felipe »

Hi there,

I've read somewhere that there will be a photoday organised at Wittmund in 2008. I can't find this anywhere but who has some info about this??

Hope to hear something..

Greetz,

Jan.

good aphternoon to you all,
Yes lets hope the organizers of the Phantom Phlugtag will make it an unphorgettable event. Maybe some advises phrom us aircraft- and especially PHANTOM Phanatics to them: Egyptian, Japanese, Korean and of course the remaining US-machines with sponsor money of the Boeing phactory, who it seems do not have any intentions in celebrating next years event themselves!

Hello,

Last summer the fototag was cancelled.

Here's a part of the mail I've got from them:
"Dear Sir or Madam, the Jagdgeschwader 71 "Richthofen" must call off the Spottertag planned on 08.08.2007 in Wittmund, because of low participation of other federations. At the same time we would like to inform you about the fact that we carryout on 28.06.2008 the jubilee arrangement
" 50 years of F4 phantom II / 35 years F-4F "
To this arrangement no registration is required by our side. We thank you for your interest and hope to be allowed to greet you nextyear"

Greetings

King

If you're that ambitious you might just as well send an invitation to the Iranians too ;)

Well, as long as the weather is good and some Phantoms are flying, it'll be worth the trip. I'll place my bets on German, Turkish and Greek Phantoms..

As long as the orange WTD-Phantom is present, and parked in a decent way for photography I will be very happy; all else will be a bonus!
