TLP Monday 3rd December - Mission impacted by weather?
Dear fellow spotters,
I am planning a trip to Florennes tomorrow Monday Dec 3rd. Looking at the weather forecast the weather is rather good, especially when compared with the remainder of the week.
Does anyone know if the mission of tomorrow will be affected by the hard winds (4-5 Beafort)?
Thanks for your information.
Theo

Will see tomorrow, according to http://www.kmi.be" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and USAS weather forecast good weather of Belgium tomorrow by midday, however; I see potential target areas restricted to Belgium itself (unrealistic), Northern France, Polygone and West Germany only, UK looks difficult, Netherlands - no idea ...
However, the best weather for the whole week and TLP not flying since last Wednesday, so good chances, wind is expected along runway axis so normally no problem (only cross winds are really dangerous ...).
Also, some additional fighters (4 x EF.18) normally should arrive tomorrow, plus support, and local flights and any chance of TLP aircraft performing DACT in case TLP mission is cancelled.
So the comment "all flights cancelled" looks very odd and strange to me. Would not recommend to rely on that. Good luck to all trying their best tomorrow!!!
Cheers, RdF

Dear fellow spotters,
Based on the information of yesterday evening I had to cancel my trip to Florennes. If the posted information is not valid I would be very disappointed and would urge all people who post information to do this only if the information is reliable. Less reliable information can be posted ofcourse (not everything is black and white) but at least include in the posting the source and some indication how reliable or unreliable the posting is.
Kind Regards,
Theo

according to the TLP site "www.florennes-as.be" tomorrow the tlp will fly a a2a refuel mission, sow maybe the chance is bigger that they will fly. I will be there tomorrow sow i hope they actually will fly
Just because it's on the Internet doesn't make it true. Unless extreme weather is expected, I have never seen flight ops being cancelled 24 hours a head just because of the weather.theo wrote:Dear fellow spotters,

Flight ops always gathers the most actual weather data when preparing the flight that morning and only then the mission commander decides to postpone, change or cancel the fragged mission.
