And the award for the largest coded aircraft goes to............the Italian C-130's in the 80's. That's make it easy to spot :lol:

When was that photo taken from the Italian C-130?
I knw that there was an sqdr. exchange with Italian
F-104S during that period.
I was there too.

Yeah, sweet memories... I really had a great time at Soesterberg, and not only because of the local F-15's and interesting movements: it was always good fun to hang around at the 'old' spotter's place. When this place closed down in favour of the hill, I stopped visiting Soesterberg as frequently as I used to do.
These pictures must have been taken around 1985 (the first one for sure).

Those pics of the people behind the camera's are very nice. I'm still searching for myself in the backgroud.

There used to be the "spotters-archief" slide box with loads of great pictures of SSB-spotters in weird situations. Those slides used to be shown whenever there was a convention, a party or any other reason for showing them.
Would anyone know where that box of slides has gone??

I can't find myself on the pics unfortunately...

I do remember making some of those pics, maybe I took them?
But I am not sure.
I do know that those pics I took are all in the so called "archive"
