Hello,

the way I read this site, the open day will be held at a small part of the airbase, at the "berufsausbildung", which means professional training. This open day is not a large scale one, they request for registry. I think this TodT could more be like a reunion for people who trained there. But I've sent an email to request for info, if I hear more I'll put it here.

regards
DAP

It will be a large openday because of the celebration of 50 years WTD61.
Expect a lot of WTD61 aircraft and some other German visitors.
The Eufi factory won't be open for public.

just few question:

I understand it is open for public, is it correct?

Static is at any airshow always a surprise, but if they park the aircraft again along the sides of the apron some decent shots should be possible.
Flying will take place over the southern runway so you will be facing the sun, but the road along the southside of the field is open so you can stand outside the base to photograph flying aircraft if you want.
Have fun.

And base is open for public.

Hey Jorg,

the 2 Tornados should be 45+32 (JBG 31) and 98+59 (WTD 61), which demonstrated the buddy-buddy-refueling. The EF2000 was 98+03, which flew the display.

Are you sure with the Su-22 98+14? According to the scramble-database and AvDb Global-database 98+14 is stored/preserved in Scompton, UK.
Also, Alphajet 40+01 should be preserved in Speyer, according to AvDb.

Did you read the reg of the white EC-135 standing beside the EADS-Hangar next to D-HMBE (the EC-145 in MCHS Rossii-cs)?
