Hmmm, just wondering; as the Kaagbaan will be closed soon due to maintenance, you don't think that would be the moment they could close off the spotting place as well ?

Yep that's right. Work started to expand the second (or first) spot along the 18R-36L last week. Rumors are telling me that this will only be a temporarly solution until you spotters have chosen a alternative for the 06-24 spot. But you know; nothing is sure at Schiphol!!

And as far as I know with the coming of the maintance period for the 06-24 (two weeks starting from 25-6) there isn't any work planned on the spotting place. The contractors are busy enough with the work on the runway. But here also; you never know at Schiphol!!
I do know that the expanding of the S-apron will start later this year. But to my knowledge it is only the site where the Menziesdome still stands. S-apron will then be expanded with to more stands for a 747.

1) Kaagbaan spot closed already?
2) If not, any final date already known?

Thxs Chris
Rumours are the spot will only be closed somewhere after the summer season...
So there is still time for a return visit!

Not that it really belongs to this topic, but be aware that in weeks 36 and 37 the kaagbaan is out of use for the maintenance which was postponed from last weeks.

I guess the spot still will be open than but there won't be any plane's to spot this weeks........

I can:

week 36 = Sunday 2 September - Saturday 8 September
week 37 = Sunday 9 September - Saturday 15 September

So the answer is: September :P .
