Bucharest, BIAS August 2024

Post by Kevin Brewer »

Surprised not to have seen any comments at all regarding this event, were we the only two spotters there??

Here's what we logged from inside the event on Saturday 31st, we hope it's of interest.

If anyone is able to provide any serials for the 9-ship F-16 flypast they would be very welcome!

Thanks Freeman,

Further to your Otopeni notes......
We viewed 2 C-27 and 1 C-130 stored with all markings scrubbed from 44.55891, 26.09688 late on Thursday afternoon.
Suspect the C-130 may be 5927.
C-27s.... could these be 2706 and 2707 as neither noted during the trip.

Hi Graham,
It's a few years since we walked round past the cemetery...
We only saw 5 x C-130s at Otopeni when we landed early pm on 29.8. (7432 was difficult to read. I recall it was in a grey camo. Is 5927 still in a green camo? )
We didn't try for the C-27Js.
So, sorry, no help at all.
