KC-130J 55+04 of BATS Rhin/Rhein and A400M 54+11 of LTG 62 did some formation flying.

Also in the "flying programme" was EC135T1 82+56 of IntHubschrAusbZ which did some overflyings.

The planned formation of TLwG 71 Eurofighters 30+29 and 30+40 plus A400M 54+11 had to be cancelled ten minutes before the jets reached the base after the QRA (callsign EA01 and 02) got some technical issues and had to return to Laage.

Also on base was KC-130J 55+05 of BATS Rhin/Rhein which arrived on 4.9. from Celle.

Another Tanker Hercules is visiting this week after 55+04 and 55+05 with BATS Rhin/Rhein KC-130J 55+06 arrived on 6.9.
So all three KC-130J were on base this week and even on a single day!

In the afternoon of 26.09. the following active A400M of LTG 62 were noted:

54+01, 54+09 (Pacific Skies badge), 54+12, 54+14 (crewferry 54+15), 54+15 (from Manching), 54+19 (Pacific Skies badge) and 54+37.

Of the six aircraft with the Pacific Skies badge 54+39 had lost it already and 54+33 is at Hannover awaiting maintenance there and will presumably loose it. 54+07, 54+09, 54+19 and 54+42 are still wearing it.

Another new A400M, 54+47 will be delivered in October to LTG 62.

For the 10th anniversary of German A400M operations a special painted aircraft (fin only?) is planned later this year. Then 54+01 was taken on charge on December 18th 2014 and delivered one day later.

Active A400M of LTG 62 were today on 23.10.:

54+06, 54+07 (Pacific Skies badge), 54+15, 54+24, 54+32, 54+41, 54+43 and 54+45.

In Hangar 9 were: 54+03, 54+04 and 54+40. The latter is still u/s after a heavy landing in August 2023.

On the ramp were: 54+05, 54+14, 54+16, 54+18, 54+27 (later towed into Hangar 9), 54+34, 54+42 (Pacific Skies badge, later towed into Hangar), 54+44 plus seven more unidentified.

Visiting twice (once in the morning, once in the afternoon, nightstop) was KC-130J 55+04 of BATS Rhin/Rhein plus Tornado IDS 44+64 of TLwG 33.

Star of the day was again HAF/356.MTM C-130H 747, still in special colours. It dropped some load and took off en route to Jagel to catch people and equipment of the F-16 deployment from "Steadfast Noon".
