Yesterday (5/6) was a slow day with the Norwegian F-16BM 692 flying in the morning and afternoon and 2 local F-16’s departing in the morning and returning after +/- 3 hrs. Heard the day before was better with both F-16’s and F-35’s in morning and afternoon waves.

The morning wave ist usally better (sometimes a litte only), because AVB "Moon Beam" is mainly flying in the morning. But have a look in the logs from the last months.

The new special painted F-16AM, Block-15 E-006 flew for the first time and the paint is showing a grey/black/silver head of a Falcon on both sides of the fin and lettered "F-16 half centrury". The forward fuselage is red-white-silver. It will presumably be quite short-lived and it is planned to visit some European Air Shows in 2024 - of course the RIAT where 50 years of the F-16 Fighting Falcon will be celebrated.

Due to the ongoing delivery problems with the F-35A Denmark and Secretary of Defence Troels Lund Poulsen decided to fly the six F-35A from Luke to Skrydstrup until the end of this year.

The dwindling down of the Danish F-16 force has begun. Six should have left the country, with E-596 and E-599 were seen as 80-3596 and 80-3599 respectively with Air Force marks on Ukranian (social) media chanels. Ten were obviously handed over including four ex-KLu F-16.

In Denmark a maximum of 37 F-16AM/BM is still flying, although some (like ET-207 and 208 for example) were not seen for some time.

The following activity was noted here on 12.08.:

The morning wave took off from 9.42-10.07h and comprised of the following F-16AM/BM of Fighter Wing:

E-016, E-074, E-604 (Have Glass V), ET-197 (Have Glass V).

Only one F-35A flew with L-007.

Also flying was Norwegian F-16BM 692 (Tiger marks) and Belgian F-16BM FB-20.

Last week visiting Finnish AF CN295 CC-2 obviously marked the start of another Ilmavoimat detachment and one unidentified F/A-18C flew one mission.

At 11.10h an Alpha Sramble was performed by AVB „Moon Beam“ F-16AM E-011 (Have Glass V) and E-004. They came back after 2.15h flighttime. A third unidentified F—16 left the base minutes before, but didn’t come back.

The afternoon wave took off from 12.45-13.25h and comprised off:

E-016, E-074, ET-197 (Have Glass V) plus Norwegian AF F-16AM 678 and F-16BM 689 flew also and again F-35A L-007.

The Finish detachment took off with F/A-18C HN-404 and HN-412. Both are obviously from HävLlv 11 (after scramble database).

19 fighter missions by three types and four nations made a nice day.

Stn. Flt. T-17 T-426 in Baby Blue marks performed some overshoots and touch and go‘s.

Norwegian AF F-16BM 692 (Tiger colours)
Belgian AF F-16BM FB-20
Finish AF/HäLLv 31 F/A-18C HN 403, HN-416 arrived today.
