Air Force? (unlike the a/c from Nigeria visiting recently) this seems rather be a civil-gov.
unit: Government Air Transport Services, part of Nambia;s min. of transport and infractructure (or something like that),
A great catch anywhichwayhow

Several sites including Scramble MIL database gives V5-GON as Air Force so I did put it up here. But I really don't care. You name it whatever you like. Always those discussions about is it MIL or GOv or CIV, just enjoy the picture..

Thanks for posting the picture. Much appreciated! No discussions I think. The hobby is mainly what you make it out for yourself. Btw, for African countries there is no obvious line between Government and Air Force aircraft and helicopters.

Cheers,
Jan.

hai,
well, me too, I look at all aircraft, roundel or no roundel and take photos of everything I like. No worries. And this Falcon 5V-GOV is a rarity in these parts.
Point here is that Scramble says it is not AF. Let us look at their explanation in ORBAT. That was what I found after searching what it resorts to.

Namibian Government

Brief history
Not really a part of the Defence Force, but ressorting under various Ministries are aerial assets that are worth mentioning. Firstly, there is the Ministry of Works and Transport that is repsonsible for the all-important VVIP transport duties as well. To that end, they operate the Government Air Transport Services equipped with modern business jets and helicopters. Homebase is Eros Intl, Windhoek.
etc.

see you next time !

Just for the record, and not to restart the discussion, upon start-up this morning both ATC and pilot were using callsign Namibian Air Force 001. On tower this was just NAM001.
