Is having a ladder needed for the spotters day?
I plan to go, but I was under the impression no ladder was needed

Not needed but KB can be very crowded at some places than a little step is easy.
When you avoid those crowded areas you don't need a stepladder.

To my opinion, the most stupid at KB are those speakers and the choice of music. They are always at the "wrong" spot....

But since you can move along the complete taxiway it is always possible to find an angle where there is no speaker. The choice of music is very personal I guess, but hearing protectors not only shield you from jetnoise...

To my opinion, the most stupid at KB are those speakers and the choice of music. They are always at the "wrong" spot....

My advise is go to Japan, visit three airshows in two weeks, and enjoy the Top Gun tracks 50+ times! You will never complain about the music at KB again!

got quietly dropped from the Kleine Brogel programme
after the accident at Zaragoza on the 20th of May 2023 .

The Spanish Eurofighter demo got added, though!

Captain Juan Bengoechea Vara de Rey of Ala 14 based at Albacete
will proudly demonstrate his fighter's exceptional power and exhilarating manoeuvrability.

Moreover, his unit has a connection with Kleine-Brogel, since, like the 31st Squadron,
they are part of the NATO Tiger Association,
an association of squadrons with a tiger or big cat in their squadron crests,
which gather annually to exchange experiences and practise complex missions.

De static..

Een kleurrijke Oostenrijkse PC-7 trainingstoestel zal vast één van de blikvangers worden.
De Britse luchtmacht vaardigt ook een trainingstoestel af, de moderne Juno-helikopter, gebaseerd op de Airbus Helicopters H-135. De Britse Jupiter trainings- en reddingshelikopter zal ook aanwezig zijn, en die is dan weer gebaseerd op de H-145. U kan deze vergelijken met de multifunctionele H-145 van de Duitse strijdkrachten. De H-145 is ook een prominente kandidaat om de A-109 van de Belgische luchtmacht op te volgen, dus werp er zeker al een nauwe blik op!
Heel wat groter zijn de Nederlandse NH-90 en Duitse NH-90 en CH-53 transporthelikopters. Aangezien de CH-53 in Duitsland weldra wordt vervangen door de CH-47 Chinook, is dit een uitgelezen gelegenheid om deze reus nog een laatste keer te bewonderen.
Nog een helikopter die het einde van een lange en roemrijke carrière nadert is de Slovaakse Mi-17 transport- en reddingshelikopter in opvallende digitale camouflage, een zeer zeldzaam zicht in onze contreien!
De grote helikopters zijn nog steeds een stuk kleiner dan de grote transportvliegtuigen die u ook in de uitgebreide static zal aantreffen. Zo zendt de Duitse luchtmacht een enorme A-400M, waar u zelfs door zal kunnen wandelen! In België Hebben we dit toestel ook al goed kennen als vervanger van de iets kleinere C-130.
Dankzij de Portugese luchtmacht zal u wel nog een C-130 van dichtbij kunnen bewonderen, wat ook een zeldzaam gebeuren is in onze streken.
Nog wat kleiner dan de C-130 is de Casa 295, die dankzij de Poolse en Spaanse luchtmachten ook in de static te zien zal zijn.
De Portugese luchtmacht zendt naast de C-130 ook een F-16 voor de statische tentoonstelling, die samen met de Deense F-16 ongetwijfeld een blikvanger zal zijn onder de jets.
De Duitse luchtmacht zal ook hier een hoofdrol opeisen met twee Tornado-jachtbommenwerpers en een Eurofighter-jager.
De toekomst van de Belgische luchtmacht zal ook hier te vinden zijn, want de Nederlandse luchtmacht zal trots hun nieuwe F-35 Lightning II op de grond presenteren aan nieuwsgierige fans, zij aan zij met twee F-16’s die zij geleidelijk vervangen bij de Nederlandse luchtmacht.

During the Belgian Air Force Days, the French Patrouille Tranchant will bring this period back to life with five colourful Fougas that will put on a dynamic show in close formation.

Please note that this wonderful team will only fly on Saturday 9 September,
