Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Nice ones! I have never been there, is there someone that can shed some light on the story and the registrations behind the derelict S-92 airframes?

Re: Vancouver YVR - 6/9/2023
Thanks Guys! Lots of props and rotors at YVR. If the weather was nicer I would have stick longer and close to Helijet terminal. Helicopters were landing and taking off every few minutes. Some of the Helijet copters had special markings.
The S92s and S76 are parked in the parking lot of Heli One Canada. I've got the regs from the cockpit shots (no windows so you can look inside, the plates and stickers with the regs are in the usual center place on the dashboard). Just to clarify, I didn't walk inside of any of the helicopters. Just glanced in.
What's there is:
Heli-One Canada Sikorsky S-76C C-GHRM * Delivered in 2005 to CHC Helicopters Canada and flying in Nigeria
Heli-One Canada Sikorsky S-92A C-GVZS * - This one was originally flying for PHI Aviation. Delivered 2011
Heli-One Canada Sikorsky S-92A C-GWNL * Another one delivered to PHI Aviation in 2013
Heli-One Canada Sikorsky S-92A C-GWVO * This one was delivered in 2005 to CHC Helicopters Canada
All 4 new frames for me I guess they have high number of hours. Especially those two young examples from 2011 and 2013.
Seems that they are being used for spare parts.
