For day two we decided to start at Jagel for the Turkish Citation, the Polish Viper and the two A-400s that were planned.
We could see the Citation for 2 seconds during his 2 attempts to get it on the runway, the Polish Viper turned around because of the fog, the A-400s came in, and were parked on the second runway. I have pictures of them, but that's about it. Time to go to Hohn. We later found out that because of that decision we missed the Duluth F-16D, but especially the Eagles on Hohn made up for it.
Taking spot #5 on the airfield guide, positioning ourselves around the middle of the runway. From the opposite side, the Growlers already gave us a nice welcome:

After a while, the first F-15s taxied out. The sun still took a break, but at least it gives you the option to take a few shots on the taxiway.

It seemed we were a bit too far to the left for the conditions, as the Eagles lifted off a little bit later then last week.

We took up a position a little bit further down the runway, but the Growlers showed up now, and they are heavy.

It went quiet for a while, until the F-15s started returning. The local bird population has been scared away during week one, and the Eagles finally started to do some touch and gos.

Everything that goes up, must come down after all the fun.

The Hornets nest was finally stirred up. They all tried.. but it's a Hornet, not an Eagle.

A Luftwaffe Global dropped in:

After the challenge by the Hornets, the Bayou Militia went absolutely HAM on their next takeoffs. It still is an incredible thing to watch.

We left at 16:00 local, for the drive back home, ending another great two days up north!
A few more shots can be found in the Hohn album: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjAJyTq
Hope you like them.

Bram
