Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Bentivoglio Rome scrap yard (Italy)

Post by erik_kamphuis »

I made one stop near the entrance of the scrapyard Bentivoglio and made quick some shots April 27:

The AB212 left on container is blue marked on the highway side, so this one is (MM81076/7-31)

one of the 2 ex Esercito AB206 where all markings were overpainted. Unfortunately the owner could not give an former ID/code, or c/n of these...

Behind the 4 Sea Kings are 4 A-109 (3x GdiF and Esercito E.I.879), better visible from highway side.

all AB212 and Sea Kings don't have any serials/codes anymore

This AB212 should be MM81177/7-60

More choppers sinds i was there.
Are the zippers (F104's) still there?
Compromise is failure.

Unfortunately I had no time to visit the scrap yard inside, so the part with all old fighters was not seen. Only the G91 on pole.
Last reports say only 1 F-104 still there. The one pres near the highway has gone...
