Hi All,
I had the chance to visit few spots around Bangkok where they converted aircraft to a restaurants.
MD-82 Cafe - Located about 15 minutes away in taxi from BKK airport. ex Orient Thai MD-82.
747 Cafe - Also located about 15 minutes away from BKK airport on Lat Krabang street. This is ex United Airlines B747-400. This is typical coffee shop. They don't serve food, only drinks. Entrance cost 120B and you use it towards purchase of your beverage.
Since there is no food inside of the 747 Cafe, we went to the local restaurant near by. Turns out that they are using wall panels from the 747
Last airplane restaurant which we've visited was L1011 Na-Oh restaurant at Changchui market. Went there early to get clear shot of the bird.
The restaurant is fine dining and opens after 5pm. Did not stick to try the food. It's located on the West side of Bangkok.
There is also old Royal Thai Police UH-12 on the roof of some restaurant.

Yes, but do they SERVE the drinks using airline galley carts? One of these days I will post some pix of my mobile bar that I got from Aviation Warehouse.

In the MD-82 cafe they have Phuket Air galley carts and they used them to serve the drinks. I think the food came on trays.
In the 747 cafe it's a self service, you go to the bar inside, order the drink, pick it up and go anywhere you'd like in the plane.
