Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Toronto Pearson YYZ July 2022

Post by VH3D »

Hi All,

First evening at YYZ. Runway 24 (don't remember which one L or R) is closed for ground work so almost everything was using runway 23 for arrivals and the other 24 for departures. I spent under 2 hours at the afternoon Wendy's spot. I haven't been there in 5 years and forgot that lens 70-300mm is overkill for that spot :) I've switched to 18-105mm (for smaller birds like C208 or B1900 you have to switch back to the bigger lens).

July 7th

Thanks. Thankfully it wasn't needed. Got it 3 or 4 times at IAD before.
But it brought so many spotters to one place. I've never seen that many photographers at YYZ at once.
I felt sorry for them, as the DC-8 came at the worst possible time, when the sun was right on the top.
