Van de CRUZEX site:

"Perrus Van Striphour, from Holland, has given for 22 years coverage of military exercises around the world. Despite the broad experience, highlights the peculiarities of CRUZEX V: "In some exercises around the world we can not get on and participate in flights, only to photograph the static display. In others, in order to get permission we need to have excellent contacts and at least two years for accreditation. The ease of access to information, accreditation made by the CRUZEX website, allied to the efficiency support staff to the press has made greatly easier our work in Brazil, "he said."

Well said Perrus!

:rofl2:

BTW: At Fortaleza there were 12 F-5EM.

Owwww she made a mistake, my first exercise was TAM 84 at Gilze, so it is 26 years..... Once I was in the system as Perrus there was no way back but who cares ;-)!!!! As long as we can fly. But I will sent her a mail to correct it, thanks for the message.
EvD also reported the F-5's, pitty they where not there on the 10th . Where they underneath the sheds? Because there were only some A-29's then.
It was a great week and thanks for the company!

They arrived on the 10th, shortly after dark apparently. The A-29s (also 12) were from the Natal based unit, the ones participating in the exercise from Natal were from a different unit (2/3 GAv?).
We also got ten C-95A, a P-95B, a Huey and a KC-130H, so Fortaleza is quite a busy place. Arno and myself got onboard the Herk for the afternoon flight, refueling eight aggressor F-5s. That kept the smile on our faces even after a dip in the swimmingpool.
Yes, all in all a great week, and thanks for the company also, Perrus!

Rarely saw a bigger load of excellent mil aircraft photo-ops. The scenes on some of the A2A shots are just fingerlicking good and the rest is 'just' awfully nice. 8)
Congrats on making this trip, I love the results! :bthumb:

The aircraft from Uruguay is the Cessna A-37B indeed. According to the Scramble database, it's the OA-37B. I wonder what this 'O' stands for. Anyone?

Interesting little aircraft and a real joy to see in active duty:

I'll upload some more in due time.

@ "Perrus Van Striphour": always a pity when your words (and name) are quoted the wrong way.
Perhaps you had to give her more time to write down your replies... Maybe you can apply for a free media training with one of the bosses at work?

Greetings,
Lucien

Hey Lu, I didn't have the time to contact you by e-mail, but I'm impressed with the results! I guess you can fill one "dia-avond" all by yourself!

Regarding the "O" in OA-37: It stands for observation, as the original/intended task of the OA-37 was FAC.
According to Wikipedia, it's a predecessor of the OA-10!

Leonard
