The pilot, who had to be cut free from tree branches (...), mentioned a possible bird-hit. Kleine Brogel tower saw flames coming from the back end of this luckless F-16.

The mayor of Peer has put the "gemeentelijke rampenplan" in action, all inhabitants of Peer are advised to leave doors and windows closed.

They have a permanent pool of six F-16s in storage, at both KB and FS. This pool will reduce to five.
