HAF Chief of Staff, Lt. General E. Tournas during a press conference confirmed that Α-7Ε Corsairs will be permanently withdrawn from service in October 2014.

Can't they just donate the A-7's to us so we can write off all debts?

No, they are still flying with 336 Sqn. Only 335 Sqn is flying F-16 (already 5 years old).

However, if the HAF were to part with 3 of its its Block 52 squadrons in return for some badly needed cash, that would also save us from buying that incredibly expensive F-35.
Look at the money we'd save!
