One tanker Quid 79 yesterday afternoon working with flt A10s (likely six) following from LPMR at LPMR.

A-10s are part of exercise. See Spangdahlem forum for serials. More a/c to take part in the exercise and yes it was thought that they get support from tanker and awacs a/c.

Excercise Real Thaw 2013 exercise 11-22 February with A-10 at Monte Real. The very last chance to see
A-10 (in Europe)!

After Real Thaw exercises, some A10s will fly to Lajes on its way to USA...

This F-16BM J-067/AZ arrived today at Lajes. Probably will departs tomorrow to USA with a KDC-10 which arrived after the F-16 at Lajes as well.

Today one flt A10s Retro01&02&03 as Op Coronet East 050 dep from LPMR to LPLA, supp one tanker KC135 Blue51; and one flt A10s Retro04&05&06 dep from LPMR to ETAD (home), supp one tanker KC135 Quid 79.

I have to thank a Portuguese aircraft photographer for the following departure info (including three submitted photos, already posted on my Warthog News blog and it's associated Facebook page):
Three-ship slot 1 (A-10Cs 81-0981, 81-0962, 82-0650) took off 09H26 but returned to base and landed again 11H52. Three-ship slot 2 (A-10Cs 82-0654, 82-0966, 82-0656) took off 10H55. Three-ship slot 1 (A-10Cs 81-0981, 81-0962, 82-0650) took off again 16H00 for final departure.
