Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

EFHK Helsinki 11-06-2011

Decided to fly to tropical Helsinki for a day of fun.. This time 31C with almost clear skies.. The last visit was showing similar tempartures but than MINUS..Weekends in HEL are quite good as many Cruise charters arrive bi-weekly. On a saturday you may see up to 3 Pullmantur 747-400's , and it happens the Aerosur 747-400 is operating on one of these flights. All these 747's are parking on the DHL ramp which is great for pics if you shoot from outside the fence.
Furthermore many charters, mostly TUI Fly Nordic, Thomas Cook Scandinavia, Air Finland, Spanair, Swiftair. Also the DHL feeders such as UT Air AN26 and Sprint Air SF340 are parked during the weekend. Main reason for going was to shoot the Finnair widebodies. All of them except 2 arrive between 1345-1515 and depart between 1700 and 1900. The two remaining widebodies arrive each moring from BKK and JFK and will sit idle on the ramps. The JFK flight leaves 1410 again.
So in 1 day you will see all Finnair heavies..

Nice!
Talk about fast repainting of the fleet by the way, United could've learned something from that
Cheers,
Gideon
