Re: Ede 18 September
Anybody already got detailed information about aircraft participation to the Market Garden part? I think we can be pretty sure the two Transalls will be German, but what about the Herks? The nationality of the para jumpers may suggest there will be RAF/RNLAF/USAFE C-130s (as 'usual'), but this is no guarantee, hence my question.

Re: Ede 18 September
At the press conference it was mentioned that the US has ,,a lot of C-130's.'' My guess is Ramstein birds.
Answers will be questioned.....

This afternoon a made a reconnaissance mission to the temporary airfield of Ede which will be in operation as of Friday sept. 17. It is situated parallel to the N224 running from Veenendaal to Ede, perpendicular to a street called “De Kade”. Coordinates: 52° 2'41.79"N 5°35'31.54"O Direction 06/24, length 900m. It is about at 200m distance parallel to the N224 and can be recognized by the white runway markers in the meadow. A mobile control tower is in place at the threshold of 06. On the N224 there are orange signs indicating the direction to “Spottersplaats”.
