The selection of aircraft was good, the static was exceptionally well laid out for photography for the most part, and it was possible to get an unobstructed shot of everything. ...

Invite those guys overhere instead of the wellknown LN f-15's What I understand from the SIS updates, they will only have one nightstop at Lakenheath, and depart the following day again, so I think they are gone already during Leeuwarden....

Flares banned at UK airshows
No, not the trousers with wide legs :( I've just read on Flightline UK (and subsequently also UKAR & FC) that flare releases have been banned from UK airshows for all participants from this year onwards. I'm not sure of the reasoning behind this yet, but have asked the question of someone who is...

EGXW - unusual visitor 5/3/08
I heard a B757 call up for ILS approach today, and decided to go see if my ears were playing tricks. Sure enough, Monarch G-DAJB appeared and landed. it was returning an RAF Regiment unit back to Waddington from Afghanistan, along with a unit from Honington. I don't normally shoot civvy stuff, but t...

Yes, but not directly - 03 was going off station at 1300Z and routing to Geilenkirchen to collect a part, then flying back to Waddington to deliver the part (ETA 1430Z) then departing to Spangdahlem.jimmy van drunen wrote:From Geilenkirchen?
EDIT: NATO03 (ZH101) dep Waddington 1520 for Spangdahlem.

I've just seen this thread and thought I'd post a few pics from my garden (near RAF Waddington). This is my first post on here, please be gentle with me! 25th January - Nimrod R1 aborted an approach to RWY20 due to HELIMED departing in a hurry and came straight over the house: http://www.igniter.org...
