Re: Indian HPT-32 pole sitters
Thanks! I know it is not a wildly popular type (perhaps for many not even a known type), but it is simply amazing how many are popping up all the time. Again I have been able to add 6 to the list (in red ). It remains weird that this type specifially is being used to promote the Air Force. A type th...

Re: Indian HPT-32 pole sitters
I have updated the list above, as in the past 2 years the number of found HPT-32 has more than doubled! Updates in bold above. Right now 58 are known by serial (and 1 known, but not located). 18 more are known but without serial. 4 possible. So that makes no less that 77 in total! Still more can pop...

Re: Lisbon week 25-2023
Familiar views for me... At the airport I spotted at an overlook on the west-side of the airport. Nice place, but a bit tricky to find. There are actually three good spots right next to each other, with one indeed being a little tricky if you don't know the roads (it feels like you have to go throug...

The Russian civil war
It seems it has started last night with Wagner now going full steam to Moscow. First aviation casualties already on tape. Reportedly two Mi-8MTPR downed near Rostov, one Mi-35 downed near Rostov, later another Mi-8 was seen burning in a field (probably not one of the other two, but that's not confir...

Re: Pratica di Mare Airshow
I attended the show on Saturday, never saw an NH.500 arrive. Did see some four different civilian choppers do pleasure or VIP-flights, coming and going all day though. But that's not saying there was no NH.500 of course. Haven't seen a H.500 either, the civilians, for completeness sake, where I-LAM...

Re: Pratica di Mare Airshow
Perhaps overlooked by K2G but certainly of interest to some are a few preserved aircraft seen while entering through the main gate: And also behind the big hangar was PD808 MM62016 (special c/s) and a little to the west P166 MM25157 (UN c/s) and PD808 MM61958 (mentioned by Hans). All 3 seen and ser...

Re: REQ: Montijo preserved Alpha Jet
No idea about which Alpha Jet it is, but 15201 would be surprising. That one has been preserved at Beja for a few years already. Besides, the G.91 here (5447) was not preserved, but in use for ground instructions with CTSFA (Centro de Treino de Sobrevivência da Força Aérea - Center for survival trai...

Re: Lisbon (LPPT) - mil
According the Lisbon airport system, C-130 16805 landed at 17.56 on the 16th. Portuguese Hercs don't show up on ADSB anymore, not sure why. I see them regularly climbing out, but nothing on the radars. And indeed the Yank went to Alverca, as well as Austrian 8T-CA earlier in the day. Usualy they mak...

Update: today it worked again! You do need a VPN (the above mentioned worked very easily) and right now the captcha did not give an issue. So if you still need a reservation, I suggest you start trying again and keep trying until it works.

With this VPN service you can reach the website, fill in the form and submit.... only to get a Captcha error. So yes, geo-fencing, but also just a stupid error. Anyone from Italy who can check if the captcha actually works in Italy? Also, anyone with contact details, there is nothing on the site, of...

Odd thing is, the Ukrainians have not claimed any of the aicraft or helicopters in their daily Russian losses report. Why wouldn't they if it was them?

Re: ALLIED RESOLVE 2022 + the war that followed
Another video of I do not know what coming down very hard. https://twitter.com/wartranslated/status/1657395186815627266 And just to be sure 'just a shame' is sarcastic. I don't care how the Russians loose, as long as they loose. Perhaps the west can send the Russians more anti-aircraft systems if th...

Re: ALLIED RESOLVE 2022 + the war that followed
Russian air defences are having a lot of success lately.
At least one Su-34, one Su-35 rumoured, one Mi-8 confirmed and another MI-8 likely. And the Mi-28 above Crimea was also rumoured by air defence.
Just a shame it were all Russian aircraft... If all are correct, 5 in two days!
