Re: T-33A N132 back in the air again
That's indeed what they said on the German news: it will probably go into the ten-thousands of euros.
Question, how do plane insurances deal with that? In the same way as car insurances?

:-) Geloof me, Curaçao is in zo'n grote mate van toerisme af...

One unexpected visitor at the end of the day on the 11th was this Mirage F.1, which made an emergency landing. It arrived when the majority of the spotters were on their way to or in the cars already.

No, I could not see that since I was not able to move any further towards the front of the plane. (it was also quite far away and I left my binoculars at home)

Le Bourget 12 May 2011 UAE AF C-17
Today saw a very nice visitor at Le Bourget; a brandnew C-17 of the United Arab Emirates Air Force on it's delivery flight. Taking a picture prooved to be rather difficult, due to the construction works for the Paris Airshow. The picture below is the best I could do. But hey, you don't see them ever...

Hmmm, brings back good memories of my former "TDY base". Really enjoyed those 1,5 years in La Suisse!

Le Bourget 21 March 2011 Egyptian Hercules
Today we saw a regular visitor at Le Bourget. The 1292/SU-BEY is seen here quite often. By the way, does anybody know what this new (hopefully temporary) building fence is for? I did not see it last Saturday and as you see, it's positioned in a rather annoying way. http://www.niekvanderzande.nl/Imag...

Today a summit was held in Paris to discuss the No Fly Zone above Libya. For this meeting delegations from Europe, the US, Africa and the Middle East were expected. For these kind of events Le Bourget is usually the place to be. However, during the day I found out that Villacoublay was also receivin...
